Daddy and Mommy have been thinking about visiting MacRitchie Reservoir Treetop Walk for months already. Yes, we are talking about the treetop walk bridge (but must go through some trails first).Today is an opportunity because Grace had no school today (school declared holiday in lieu of Election Day). Yippee! Weekday afternoons are best for a family outing. Daddy took a day's leave to bring the family out for some sun and lots of fun.
We started out at 11.30am. Travelled on the PIE, exit at Upper Thomson Road. We had Nam Kee chicken rice for lunch. The once popular Nam Kee still look the same (since the 1980s). Food is average; service is friendly and fast; restaurant was not packed during lunch hour. No complains though. ha ha
We parked at Venus Road carpark which is located next to the Treetop trail. Our walk starts right there! This is the beginning of the trail. Love it! Pebbled-strewn path; green green grass; lots of forest ferns. No other civilisation in sight. We love it! LOVE IT! (see Grace in her favourite Smoo Milk T-shirt again! ha!)

Daddy loves the greenery very much.
Mommy loves the meandering stream. So tranquil, so kampong, so natural. Love it! LOVE IT!
We saw monkeys on branches; a metre-long monitor lizard along the path; spiders in their webs; a black dog (??).
After walking for about 30 mins, Grace and Yu cried Tired! Tired! Boring! Mommy and Daddy could go on. We were 1.5km away from the Treetop Walk Bridge.
Ok, let's go home then.
