The night before, Yu reminded Mommy she wants to be in a red and white attire. "No problem at all," replied Mommy confidently.
This morning, as Mommy was putting on the white blouse for Yu, the little gal protested and insisted she should wear a red top and white bottom or else....Mrs Chow (her form teacher) would scold her. Her friends told her so.
Mommy assured Yu she would not be scolded and it is perfectly fine as long as there is white and red. Yu refused to wear and insisted Mommy looked for another fitting outfit for the occasion. There was no time to whine and waste, Uncle Ong's schoolbus is arriving in any minute.
Mommy assured Yu she would be fine because..............Jie Jie (Grace) wore this "national day" attire in the previous years in the kindergarten under the same teacher, Mrs Chow. hm.
Yu went to kindergarten; had fun; came home with a toy and a Singapore flag. Mommy asked Yu if Mrs Chow made any comments on her national day outfit. Yu, brimming with a big smile, said, "Mrs Chow said I look very pretty."

In the evening, Daddy and Mommy, Grace and Yu watched fireworks at the Singapore Fireworks Festival. It was awesome.
How blessed and peaceful Singapore is.
