Today is Singapore's 42nd National Day. This is a blessed country.
The Family headed downtown for Nasi Padang lunch at an old restaurant. Everyone enjoyed the delicious mouth-watering dishes such as beef rendang; chicken curry 3 types : non-spicy for gals, medium spicy for Mommy and most spicy for Daddy; sayur lodeh, fish and so on. Chomp! Munch! Slurp (the last bit of curry)!

Then it was a slow stroll to the National Museum (Mommy's favourite kind of place) where the girls get to view precious 100 year old photographs; rocks that look like their favourite dim sum; old Malay movies; and women's fashion belonging to the 1920s-1950s. Grace was fascinated by one beautiful bridal gown on display. (Brides look most beautiful in white.)

And the Family went home to catch the National Day Parade 2007 "live" on TV.
