We don't really know our neighbours, sad to admit. However, this is a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. You can hear birds chirping in the daytime and crickets (or toads?) croaking at night. Not too bothersome, just happy nature is near. There are several musicians in the neighbourhood.
Interestingly, there is a drummer few houses away who practised with windows shut (sigh!) so what's left for the appreciative audience is some muffled beats but it is still addictive listening, at least to Mommy. She always hope the "rhythmic beatings" continue.
Then there are the pianists, from beginners to accomplished ones who played Chopin's and Beethoven's effortlessly (no sweat!). Strangely, there is a beginner pianist who plays the same few pieces of music all months long. Pathetic, something must be done.
Mommy suspects there is a concert pianist somewhere cos the music being played is very close to one being played on a CD. Very enjoyable.
Thankfully, there are no karoake singing folks in the neighbourhood. Grace and Yu sings everyday (minus the mike, ha ha) everywhere and any songs they can think of or compose.
Still there is a lack of string musicians here - violinist, guitarist, or even harpist are welcome. Certainly don't mind some gu zheng, er hu or chinese flute music!
